June 29th at 8 p.m.

Miljenka Šepić pripada maloj skupini slikara/ica svoje generacija, koje u posljednjem desetljeću 20. stoljeća nije pogodila kriza i često najavljivana „smrt slikarstva“.

Način slikanja, format slike, simetrični i stabilni motiv stabla, odabir boja, prenose energiju snage prirode.

Oba podrazumijevaju aktivnost procesa i međudjelovanja... stvaranja, energije i voljnosti.

Ponekad jednostavan, lapidaran, ponekad beznadno kompliciran. Jasan ili neshvatljiv, ali uvijek strukturiran jakom unutrašnjom mrežom silnica, uzajamnosti, međudjelovanja, sveukupnosti odnosa i rezonancijom. Sveopća pokrenutost, međusobna uvjetovanost uz strukturalna prožimanja... ritmiziranje likovnih elemenata: boje, plohe, linije... do znakova, simbola... sinkopiranje... otkrivanje značenja i smisla, semantička radoznalost... jednostavno: KRAJOLIK.

His works of art are held in a large number of museums and galleries, as well as private collections, in Croatia and abroad.

Vinko Šaina – a painter of light

The idea and image of Vinko Šaina’s landscape is a sublime vision of his inner landscapes composed of a number of memories, imaginations and dreams gathered over time. It is an extension of the physical, psychological and spiritual self, an elusive (corpo)reality in constant movement, a landscape as a state of mind and soul, an inner spiritual archaeology or a fictional geography and topography of changeable meanings. The picturesqueness and scenic appeal of his landscapes, their illusionistic nature and aestheticism, keep showing us layers of new meanings that can never be completely defined, since our collective inner retina can only register endless and never-completed interactive metaphors in motion.

Through the amalgamation of the perceptible and the surmised, the real and the imagined, the infinite in the finite, the uncertain in the certain and the invisible in the visible, in a playful search for inner visions and relative views, for the image of God and for the divine in human beings, what has been created is poetry of a higher order, autochthonous and authentic. It is the poetry of heaven and earth, the human and the divine in all of us. It is, at the same time, a type of poetry that only a person of a complete and unspoiled artistic and human integrity could have produced.

A planetarium of the True Imagination - Vinko Šaina’s style and humanity

Vinko Šaina’s works involve the persons contemplating them in a game in which the observer has to become a traveller. And the journeys that they invite us to take are nothing else than pilgrimages (towards the depths beyond the threshold of the visible, or towards views of never-before-seen lands) that lead us to interiorise the view. To learn to perceive above all the spiritual dimension that our biological being belongs to. And, consequently, to visualise ourselves and the world from a position beyond the boundaries within which we are confined by our attachment to the psycho-physical self and the acceptance of the mere sensible appearances of the real. Then, when this happens, a new source of light illuminates worlds that havenever been seen (and it is precisely this constant discovery of inner continents and, above all, ever-changing illumination that constitutes the authentic rhythm of time variation in Šaina’s art production.

KARBON - ASCETICISM OF FORMS TEA BIČIĆ

Friday, August 25th 9:00 P.M.

Her new painting Tea Bičić based on the charge and power of black and white confrontation. The reality of her image carries the idea of an ascetic look of the form, elementality and structural pertinence, inner layers and shifts that open a new image, a picture that continues in the second picture. Within modern technological and communication visual chaos only by neutralizing all the surpluses, reducing and synthesizing colors, painting materials, and even moves, it is possible to keep the essence, the rate of rays that is necessary for survival, she said in a conversation. It is important to provide unambiguous solutions, to express an idea, not to describe, not to deal with the details. To show the fact of raw and naked picture. And the harmony of relationship.

Tea Bičić graduated painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia - class of prof. Paolo Tessari. She had thirty-five solo exhibitions and has participated in more than one hundred collective exhibitions at home and abroad. She received numerous awards and acknowledgments for her work. She participated in several art colonies as well. Her paintings are in the fundraising of museums and galleries and in many city and private collections. She is a member of the assotiation HDLU Istra and  one of the founders of POOLA Gallery in Pula. Since 2014, she has been coordinating the Labin City Gallery programs and an associate for the visual arts at the Open University Labin. She lives in Labin.

MIRKO RAJNAR - PAINTINGS

Friday, July 7th 2017, 9 p.m.

Rajnar's very intimate paintings capture the viewers with magical twists, they do not shout, they do not impose. First it was about fears and anxieties, while in recent paintings it is about inner peace and spiritual balance. His  art work is always intimate in such a way that it can and must be shown without the viewer having the feeling as a voyeur who is looking sonething forbidden, and there fore an interesting world. But in this intimacy and truthfulness he will be able to find his own intimacy and truth ...

FACEXHIBITION

Saturday, September 10th 2016 at 8 p.m.

The idea of the project "Facexhibition" was created in January 2016. In the south of Istria, my "dormant dungeon", spending time on Facebook likeing works of  unknown artists. Irritated by the fact that in this virtual world all meetings (unless they are of a sexual nature) tend to remain trapped in this same "virtual squares", and while I intuitively followed my own aesthetics I wanted to materialize this parallel reality.
I sent out invitations to several authors whose works have left impressions on me with a proposal to participate in the exhibition, in an unknown location and time of realisation. Today, nine months later, in Labin - Alvona gallery we have the honor to present fabulous miniatures came from: Japan, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Mauritius, France, Turkey, Germany, Slovakia, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Italia, Slovenia, Russia, etc ... all in confrontation with the works of local artists who have agreed to be part of this creative game.

BORIS ZAPLATIL - GREEN-BLUE-RED

Friday June 10th 2016 at 8 P.M.

Painter Boris Zaplatils formal education took place in Ljubljana at the Academy of Fine Arts in promising generation, which has beginning of eighties decisively entered the Slovenian art scene and established a fresh and convincing (post) modernist atmosphere. Zaplatil has already at the beginning attracted the attention and expressed extremely subjective artistic identity and discovered its creative qualities that will deepen over the years and given to research that will take him in the direction of expressive originality and artistic perfection.

Individulity of his artistic practice is particularly reflected in the affinity of the importance of the material and thus sensitive to the construction of the painting surface, which becames the scene of various morphological procedures and substantive conversation. The surface of the image becomes dreamy, sensual and caring construct. On careful and technologically demanding assembled relief surface structure of canvas, are applied layers of the coating colors that express a sense of refined drawing details that are an intimate copyright reflection that reveals his attitude to the world.
